Description
The creators of WritePro, the world's leading
creative writing tutorial program, bring you the next step in improving your
writing. FirstAid for Writers is a permanent reference tool to help you
solve your fiction and non-fiction writing problems. Get instance access to 60
subject areas. Import and edit your writing with professional guidance as you
fix problems and enhance what you've written. Much of the technique has never
been available before!
FirstAid for
Writers® Contains 5 modules with over 60 different tools to assist you with
your writing: 1. Gearing Up gets you started --and
restarted if writer's block ever thwarts you--with a technique that works 100%
of the time. Shows how to jump-start inspiration instead of waiting for it. How
professionals imagine extraordinary scenes. How to use backstory the way
screenwriters do. How to use the "secret snapshots" technique to stop writing
from the outside and get inside what only you can write. 2.
Quickfix is the module you'll use most often. The invaluable "Beginnings
Menu" will forever solve the problem of first sentences, paragraphs, and pages
that make editors and readers stop reading... 3. Intervention
is the module for fixing major problems that plague even the most experienced
writers from time to time. You'll see how to reorganize work for maximum
suspense. How to write erotic scenes effectively. How to master point of view,
flashbacks, how to give your writing literary value and resonance.
4. Nonfiction is the module that shows journalists and other writers how
to use the best techniques of successful fiction writers to improve the pace,
tension, resonance, and originality of nonfiction. 5.
Refresher is the "instant memory" module that enables writers to remember
quickly what they didn't know they had forgotten, a godsend for writers who
don't write every day, and help to those who do. Much of the
techniques in these modules have never before been available. In private
instruction the QuickFix and Intervention modules alone would cost more than
ten thousand dollars. All of it is contained in this program and is guaranteed
to improve your writing more than you ever dreamed possible. First Aid Shows You... How
seasoned professionals create suspense that keeps the reader reading.
How to write erotic scenes that work. How to use movie
techniques to make writing move fast. How to use the secret snapshot
technique, a breakthrough for talented writers. How you can imagine
scenes you didn't know you could write. How to eliminate writer's
block forever. PLUS... How to create beginnings that
grab and hold the reader. How to write descriptions that make indoor
and outdoor locales and physical objects spring to life. How to
improve major and minor characters to make them instantly
memorable.
