PETER MEHLMAN was a freelance magazine writer who also
worked for the Washington Post and ABC Sports before he submitted
a "Seinfeld" script on spec. Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld liked Mehlman's
humor and invited him to join the staff, where has been ever since in various
producer roles.
